Angelo

I know its rough. Please don't kill me ;^;

So this is my cartoon character for ArtsTech, my school's AMAZING art program. The character has to be some kind of super-powered being, and it has to be based on ourself. So this is what I have.

Angelo is an alien. I hope that's obvious. She was sent to Earth by her own planet's government on a research mission. She lands in the large, dingy city of Los Angeles, and decides to begin her mission there. Unfortunately, despite her attempt at disguising herself, the press discover both her and her ship. She is forced to hole up inside her new, crappy city apartment, and wait for her planet to bail her out.

Much to her dismay, her own people decide that they are not interested in direct human contact, and so they destroy what remains of her malfunctioning ship and cut off all but one communication channel with her. This channel is manned by her sarcastic friend, Vark, who stays on only to keep her company, laugh at her, and try to get her back home.

She takes the human name Angelo in honor of the city she must now live in, not realizing that it is, in fact, a male name. This and other details such as her awkward attempt at human anatomy point her out as the outsider, and it makes her very uncomfortable. However, a small group of Earth youth - a small, misty-headed boy, and adventure-seeking girl, and a teen who just has trouble fitting in - adopt her as a friend and try their best to help her achieve what they never have - normalcy.

So these are her human and alien forms.
